Spanning repertoire from the jazz age to modern favorites, along with original compositions, “Sax & Taps” is an exhilarating musical collaboration between tap dancer DeWitt Fleming Jr. and saxophonist Erica von Kleist. A graduate of the Juilliard School, Erica has performed with Sean Jones, Chris Potter and was the first woman to tour with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Having been a featured performer with Riverdance and Cirque Du Soleil, DeWitt has also danced with Bobby McFerrin, Alicia Keys, Christian McBride, and was recently featured on America’s Got Talent. Erica and DeWitt’s first album together, “Sax & Taps: Intersplosion" was recorded at Dizzy’s Club, and made history as the first album recorded at Jazz at Lincoln Center featuring tap dance. An unexpected and brilliant addition to any festival line-up or venue, Sax & Taps captivates audiences and brings them along on a truly unique musical journey.
